Singer and songwriter, Pasha Amaro emerged winner of the Azam Tv Channel U Cover Competition (July edition) as she walks away with a cash prize of UGX 500,000, an Azam Tv decoder kit with 6 months subscription paid and a Channel U gift hamper.
Pasha Amaro is one of West Nile based Uganda songstresses who believes that one day she will become Uganda's top-rated music songbirds. She started her developing her music career in 2016 where she managed to release singles such as Kuku Case Cover, One Right Stand, What Do You Say, Right here, Right Now Cover, Seyi Shey, Love You, Aliona, and Betrayal.
The Azam Tv Channel U Cover competition is a music talent hunt to discover and grow new stars in which any one person can do a video of any East African musicians and submit for the qualifications.
While speaking to Pasha Amaro, she told the website that it wasn't easy for her but she grateful, excited that she made it.
She says for the channel u competition they were asked to do a cover song of any East African musicians of 1-minute video and upload to YouTube and she recorded Isabella by Sauti Sol and she was nominated among the best top five and at the end of the month, she was announced the winner of the competition.
"I'm really so happy, excited, and grateful to everyone who supported me to bring this home because it wasn't easy for me." She said.
