Acholi Sub-region is mourning the untimely death of the prominent radio journalist and presenter Reno Opio who passed away yesterday.
The deceased who started working from Pol Fm Kitgum before moving to Mighty Fire 91.5 Fm Kitgum died at the age of 46.
Reno breathed his last on Thursday morning from Kitgum General hospital where he was rushed after getting involved in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday night.
His death was confirmed on the page of the radio station by his colleagues at the workplace.
A gifted storyteller, Reno had a well-earned reputation for holding powerful people and institutions accountable.
His close colleagues described him as a very dedicated, committed, hardworking, jolly, humble and fearless with a unique talent.
He will be buried next week on Wednesday 20th September at his ancestral home in Palabek, Lamwo District.
