The education ministry together with the national COVID-19 task force have resolved to reopen schools on September 20.
The reopening will not happen for all classes, but it will be done gradually starting off with candidate classes and university finalists.
Government will reopen other classes as soon as they have put in place the major SOPs.
Earlier this year, president Museveni ordered for the closure of learning institutions, places of worship and others in a bid to control the spread of COVID-19.
