A group of youth that have been arrested for breaking COVID-19 guidelines have been tasked to quarantine for 14 days at their own cost, then thereafter face the law.

This comes as a development from Police where a group of youth were caught on Sunday night partying hard at Laventi Bar in Kira Municipality.
Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson, ASP Luke Owoyesigyire said that Police has been getting information of bars that were stealthily operating and attending to customers thus flaunting Ministry of Health guidelines.
Most of the people were taking advantage of the relaxation of curfew, he said: “During the operation, we managed to arrest 22 suspects from La Venti bar Najera. Other revelers upon seeing us fled but left their cars behind which were also impounded by Police.
The suspects are currently detained at Kira Division Police station.
Their arrest comes after a video by one of the revellers went online, boosting about the fact that Coronavirus is nothing and it can't stop them from partying hard.
