Ocer Campion Jesuit College Deputy Headteacher Okello Patrick Teddie Succumbs to Cancer

Mr. Okello Patrick Teddie, deputy headteacher of Ocer Campion Jesuit College, has died after a battle with throat cancer. Luo Tunes has learnt.

Despite efforts by family and friends to save his life, Patrick passed away on Sunday, June 7, while being rushed to Gulu Regional Referral Hospital after his condition deteriorated. He had been unable to speak due to complications from his illness.

Mr. Okello was a committed educator and leader with over 20 years of service in Northern Uganda. He taught at Gulu College School and served as deputy headteacher at Nile Progressive College, Pece Secondary School, and Creamland High School, where he was also acting headteacher. At the time of his death, he was deputy headteacher at Ocer Campion Jesuit College.

Throughout his career since 2000, he worked to uplift education standards across the region.

At the time of his passing, his family was fundraising for specialized treatment at Mulago Hospital.
