Rising Northern Uganda female singer Bestie Gyal has announced her exit from Empire Records, the label that first signed and nurtured her talent.
In a statement shared on Friday, the artist said: “Hey family, as Bestie Gyal, I honour and appreciate Empire Records. I don’t take it for granted that I worked with them. Thank you.”
“As an artist, I have parted ways with Empire Records, effective immediately. I will share and communicate my next move and new management soon.”
Her exit comes shortly after the label unveiled a new artist, Shammy De Gyal, who is rumored to be her replacement. Bestie Gyal did not comment on the new signing.
