Northern Uganda's celebrated female musician, Anena Zulu aka Lady Zulu stated that her late mother was so supportive and even gave her money for studio sessions.

In a recent interview with Mega 102 FM, she revealed that her mother wasn't like any other mothers who never wanted to support their children's career in the music industry thinking they may be wastage in the community.

Speaking during the making a star program, she said her mother even ended up acting in one of her first music videos as a vixen.

"Me and my mom were like twins. My mom is the one who supported me with money to go to the studio when I was nobody yet. When I came looking for someone to act in my first video 'Mego Loyo,' she told me it's okay let me act. So my mother didn't refuse to move on with my career."

The Okang hitmaker went and appealed for unity musicians and the people of Acholi at large.

She however pointed out the few challenges they face as female musicians is that parents take them for granted as if they cannot handle domestic work at home.
