Some Acholi leaders are planning to go on strike on Friday 24, 2023 over Apaa Land at Awere playground.
This comes after a directive issued by the office of the Prime Minister that they must vacate the area within three months or face forceful eviction.
Prime Minister RT Hon Robbinah Nabbanja issued the directive on February 15, 2023 while speaking to a section of the project affected residents and local government leaders at Amuru District headquarters.
The directive has raised a lot of concerns among Acholi leaders and affected residents over unfair action being taken by the government of evicting them from their ancestral home.
