Several Covid-19 patients escaped unhurt after the Parliament of Uganda Common Wealth bus in which they were traveling in caught fires this evening just after leaving the heart of Gulu city.
The bus is alleged to be ferrying the Covid-19 patients from Kitgum Hospital to Kampala caught fire at Koro along Gulu - Kampala highway.
According to the reliable source, the Parliamentary bus No UG 0391 was ferrying 25 Covid-19 patients and police fire brigade has finally responded to the scene.
This comes after Kitgum Regional Referral hospital becoming full with no room to admit the rising number of Covid-19 patients from the region and the Minister of health gave a go-ahead that as the Kitgum Regional Referral Hospital is now packed, some of the patients should be ferry to Namboole National Stadium where it has been subjected for Covid-19 patients by the government.
