Ugandan secular artist-turned-gospel artist and pastor DJ Languna is rumoured to have returned to secular music after years of focusing on church and gospel songs.
DJ Languna, whose real name was Komakech Geoffrey, changed it to Komagum Geoffrey in 2017 after giving his life to Christ.
According to a close source, DJ Languna — who has been seen in clubs and bars performing his old music — seems to have gone back to his roots.
He is currently in the studio with legendary female dancehall artist Cindy working on a new project. It is not yet clear whether it will be a gospel or secular song.
DJ Languna was one of the top-rated artists in Northern Uganda and the country at large in the 2000s, releasing hit songs like _Bye Bye Kampala, Alany Wilobo, Kitana Gwele, and, Mama Pei Ipar, among others.
In 2017, when he transitioned to gospel music, many wondered what exactly pulled him out of the secular world.
