Legendary musician Lil Roy has recently shared his musical journey at the age of 16 while he was still in senior four.
In a recent interview, the music icon who made a name for himself in music industry said he developed the passion for music from his parents.
According to Abale hitmaker, music is in his blood and in-built because both his mother and father were all musical singers and songwriters.
"I came from a very good family that is why up to tomorrow i don't force music and music it's inbuilt.
He further stated that he once tried to be a priest though things didn't work out for him, lamenting his prophecy doesn't come for nothing.
"I even tried being a priest but i wasn't gifted in that and I have a lot from the seminary.'
He added that his mother supported his musical journey reaching an extent of backing up one of his songs.
"My parents supported my musical journey because my mother was a musical singer and i sang with her as my backup artist and my late dad was also good singer.
As an upcoming singer who was really yearning for money then, Lil Roy said he only paid for his senior four (S.4) examination fee and remaining part of his school fees he invested in studio album thinking he was going to make money out of it though nobody bought it.
"In 2003, i paid only my examination fee for my senior four and the rest of the money i invest in studio for my first album though it was not buy. I had a thought that if you record." - he said.
He added that he recorded his first single in 2003 and rose to limelight in 2007.

I rose to stardom in 2007 because education was also involved and music as well."
