Gulu City is set to make history this November as it hosts Uganda's first ever Mr. Uganda Bodybuilding Championship 2025 that will bring participants from across the country.
Scheduled for November 15th at Bomah Hotel Gulu, the competition comes as an appreciation token for the Northern Uganda Bodybuilding and Fitness Association.
Speaking at the just concluded Mr & Mrs Northern Region Bodybuilding competition at Murphy's Lounge Gulu, Northern Uganda Bodybuilding and Fitness Association Chairman, Ojok Michael said ''Eversince Mr Uganda doesn't leave Kampala but because of the constituency we have had in organising this kind of competition, the Uganda Bodybuilding and Fitness Association realised and thought it twice that the best way to pay us back is by bringing the national competition in Gulu City.
He added that he understands the competition is a new game in Northern Uganda and people are still getting to know it.
"Appreciation to all of you who have taken your time to come. I know this is a new game in Northern Uganda and people are still getting used to it," ''I have good news that this year we are going to be hosting Mr Uganda for the first time in history.''
According to Micheal, he is so happy that each and every time they organise the competition there is an increment in the number of people attending.
"I am happy that every year when we are organising there has been an increase in the number of people attending the competition.
