Hon Mapenduzi launches campaign for NRM party flag in Gulu West

As the National Resistance Movement (NRM) gears up for its party primaries election slated for 17th of this month, the Bardege-Layibi Division MP, Hon Ojara Martin Mapenduzi has officially commenced his campaign to secure the party flag for the first time in the upcoming 2026 general election.

On Tuesday 1st, July, Hon Ojara Martin Mapenduzi kicked off his campaign from Alokolum on a high note in his bid for re-election.

With his campaign now in full swing, Hon. Mapenduzi reaffirmed his commitment to delivering inclusive development, transparency, and service delivery that directly responded to the needs of the people of Bardege-Layibi. 

His entry into the NRM race marks a significant moment in the division’s political landscape as the countdown to the primaries intensifies.

Hon Mapenduzi campaigned in villages including Kati Kati cells, Alokolum Seminary, Abuga central cell.

As the campaign progresses, Mapenduzi will face his challengers who have become his abusers without manifestos, singer Bosmic Otim, Robinson Oryema Ogeri. 

Initially, six aspirants had expressed interest in the NRM ticket for the seat, but as of now, one candidate has stepped down, leaving five contenders in the race.
