Tension ran high today after police fired teargas to disperse Sir Samuel Baker students' gathering in front of the RCC gate, demanding immediate resignation of the headteacher over corruption.
What began as a peaceful demonstration quickly turned chaotic, with police clashing with students.
This comes after a scheduled appointment with the RCC as they were asked to meet today at the RCC office but met the repulsive force from the police.
The students, many of whom they said, are tired of how the school is being run by the headteacher, demanding him to resign or else leave the school.
Videos circulating on social media show students running through clouds of tear gas in scenes of panic and confusion.
A student who preferred anonymity revealed that students are currently dissatisfied with the present Headteacher, alleging that over 50 students miss food on a daily basis due to shortage of food stuff.
And another reason is that the school bus which is meant for school activities is now turned to make many for individuals' pockets. They alleged corruption at its peak.
