Renowned Gulu based businessman and lawyer, Counsel Tonny Kitara on Monday 2nd June 2025 picked nomination forms from the NRM party's secretariat in Kyadondo.
Tonny Kitara who is the proprietor of Da Covenant Bar and Grill confirmed his bid to remove incumbent Rev.Fr Onen Charles and represent Laroo-Pece Constituency in parliament come 2026.

The nomination window for NRM aspirants seeking to contest in the 2026 elections opened on Monday and will run for several days.
The party secretariat has urged all aspirants to present the required documents and undergo screening before collecting their nomination forms.
Other aspirants who picked forms on the same day include Hon Ojara Martin Mapenduzi who is looking forward to retaining his seat and Hon Tony Awany who is also looking at doing the same come 2026 general elections.
