The West Nile, Acholi, Lango and Karamoja (Walk) chairperson, Solomon Aboda aka Badman Solo has dismissed the ongoing claims that Walk Creative Arts Foundation has received a huge amount of money from Gen Salim Saleh as being purported by other individuals.

While addressing the matter on Monday at Walk headquarters, he said that they have already been introduced to the minister of gender by Gen Salim Saleh for the government support since they are in the creative industry in the walk sub-region.

"Walk Creative Arts Foundation has never received any money from Gen Saleh as purported by some individuals but we are happy that the general introduced us to the minister of gender so is Betty Among so that we get supported since we are in the creative industry in the walk sub-region,'' - he said

However, he echoed out that there are some individuals from Kampala blindfolding some artists in the sub region to fight the progress of Walk.

According to Solo, Walk has been formed to benefit the creative from the region since the central artists were the ones benefiting from the government funding.

He further explained that there are very many people who came from Kampala after seeing the introductory letter which was signed by Gen Salim that they need to be supported by the ministry of gender.

He added that the reason why everyone is fighting that walk should not get the money and telling lies allover social media is because the government has also recognised it as a creative arts foundation.

Badman Solo accused Namara Rwomushana who was one of the people who embraced the idea of walk Creative Arts Foundation and Hon Gilbert Olanya for fighting its development again by supporting some individuals to fight it again.

"There are other individuals whom I really condemn them because they are fighting the development of the sub-region. These are Ramara Rwomushana who work with OWC. She has been having constant meetings with some of the artists from Acholi," "People like Gilbert Olanya who is always a camera MP. All of you know he wants to jump into anything which he sees just for his political reasons" - he stated.

However, during the press briefing, he also pointed out names of individual beings support to fight Walk and these are Anywar Walter aka Walta Pro (cousin brother),  Tekwo Wilfred, Gavin Lapoti, Laxzy Mover, Spragga Promotions among others.
