Gospel singer Kiddy Face who is also the chairperson of Creative Arts of Luo Land has expressed his disappointment and dissatisfaction with the director of operation Wealth Creation Sylvia Owori Damali and Walk.
This is apparently over news that she is planning to pour billions of shilling into the West Nile Acholi Lango and Karamoja (WALK) Foundation led by Badman Solo.
According to Kiddy Face, a meeting was held at Da Hub and was convened by Okello and Sylvia Owori in the name of addressing challenges faced by artists in Northern Uganda but it seems they have taken it for their personal interests.
Furthermore, Kiddy Face said that this is unfair and if Sylvia Owori genuinely intends to support the artists of Northern Uganda, she must prioritize their interests and respect their democratic right to choose their own leadership.
Additionally, the singer said due to lack of transparency and accountability, the existing office structure should be dissolved and the leadership of the association should be determined through a fair and democratic election process conducted by the artists themselves.
He called on the government to intervene and ensure that the interests of all artists in Northern Uganda are protected and upheld.

The Situation:
*An initial meeting in Dahub, convened by Okello Okello and Silvia Owori, aimed to address the challenges faced by artists in Northern Uganda.
* This meeting led to the formation of a 30-member task force.
* Subsequently, the task force was reduced to 10 members to focus on crucial paperwork.
* In a surprising turn of events, the technical team was further downsized to only 4 individuals, citing cost-cutting measures as the reason.
* This downsizing was initially accepted based on assurances that these 4 individuals would represent the interests of the entire entertainment sphere and facilitate the election of a leadership team.
* However, the 4-member team unilaterally assumed key leadership positions and registered the association without proper consultation or approval from the wider membership.
* Currently, meetings are being held without the knowledge or participation of the majority of artists in Northern Uganda.
Key Concerns:
* Lack of transparency and accountability: The current leadership structure and decision-making processes within the association are shrouded in secrecy.
* Undemocratic practices: The selection and appointment of leaders were not conducted through a democratic process involving the entire membership.
* Misrepresentation of artist interests: The current leadership does not reflect the will or interests of the majority of artists in Northern Uganda.
* Concerns over financial mismanagement: The lack of transparency regarding bank accounts and financial transactions raises serious concerns.
Key Demands:
* Dissolution of the current WALK office: Due to the lack of transparency and accountability, the existing office structure should be dissolved.
* Democratic election of leadership: The leadership of the association should be determined through a fair and democratic election process conducted by the artists themselves.
* Government intervention: The government is urged to intervene and ensure that the interests of all artists in Northern Uganda are protected and upheld.
Key Statement:
* If Silvia Owori genuinely intends to support the artists of Northern Uganda, she must prioritize their interests and respect their democratic right to choose their own leadership.
#FAILURE to do the above ,the industry is ready to stop at nothing but fight for its right ?
