Lamwaka Hellen Benita, 18, a senior six candidate at YY Okot Memorial College in Kitgum on Thursday October 3rd, 2024, died from excessive bleeding after she was accidentally slit on the neck by a mowing machine blade.
The deceased is said to have been hit by a mowing machine blade that was being operated by a suspected mower who was slashing the school compound.
The report indicates that the student was engaged in personal reading with other students under a mango tree within the school compound when the incident occurred.
Further reports reveal that a few other students fainted due to shock and have been referred to the hospital for further management.
