After several months of waiting, the much anticipated music battle between Pato Loverboy and Eddy Wizzy is set to be witnessed this year.
Lasting a decade in such a dynamic music industry is no easy feat and yet Pato Loverboy and Eddy Wizzy are still going stronger in this era.
Their achievements, contributions and history speaks for themselves and their catalogues shall keep their names written in the hall of fame for ages.
The new foes turned friends are now ready to awaken their music rivalry on stage in a battle that is set for later this year.
It should be noted that the rivalry over who is who started earlier this year in January after the NUMA Awards where fans thought the overall artist of the year award was supposed to be for Eddy Wizzy but surprisingly they saw it going to Pato Loverboy and that didn't go well with Eddy Wizzy and his fans commenting that he was cheated.
Well Pato Loverboy reacted towards that saying that if Eddy Wizzy thinks that he is better than him, yes, they should have a musical battle to prove to the world who is better than the other.
Yes the battle saw many event organizers weighing in their offers and capacity of which Eddy Wizzy was not accepting their offers meanwhile Pato Loverboy was ready and waiting for him to accept the battle.
During the battle launch press, the chairman organising committee, John Otim assured pressers that the two parties have mutual understanding with the management team of Kacel Events and all accepted the battle.
Mr Otim stressed out that the battle is a friendly musical battle to help promote unity and cohesion within our community and also bring awareness towards the substance abuse and mental health issues.
According to Mr Otim, there shall not be judges on that day but fans are going to be the judges of the battle between the two musical giants.
This battle being the first of its kind in Northern Uganda, will see Pato Loverboy and Eddy Wizzy battle themselves out in Gulu on 7th September 2024 at Acholi Inn Gardens and Kitgum on 14th September 2024 at Bomah Hotel respectively.
The musical battle is being founded and organised by Kacel Events, a business entity.
However, the last press conference date which will have the two musical icons is yet to be announced according to the organisation.
