Northern Uganda popular female singer Pretty B becomes the first Northern Uganda musician to donate to Gulu Covid-19 task force relief aid.
Kamule singer has today donated 90kg of maize flour towards food relief program, targeting sick children who are admitted at the hospital and their mothers can't afford much at the trying period of lockdown.
Since quarantine and the lockdown were announced by the Uganda government, none of the Northern Uganda top celebrities has been on spot for giving back to their fans during these tough times but today the songstress has hit the spot as the first musician to give back to her needy people.
The food item was delivered to Gulu DHO, Mr Idibia Yoweri by her manager Ricky P because Pretty B wasn't around to make the donations by herself.
According to Pretty B message through her manager, this posho will be given to children who are admitted in the hospital and their mothers can't afford much in these tough times.
"You know that with this period of time we don't need to actually wait for things to settle then you start going back to the entertainment world yet all this while people have been supporting so Pretty B has decided to hand though is not actually much but is the right time we also give back to the fans, in particular, she was actually trying to give this to children wards to the mother's who are taking care of their children in the hospital and can't afford much." Her manager Ricky P said.
District Health Officer Mr Idibia Yoweri took his appropriations to Pretty B by saying "This posho is very important to our community, people in the hospital, and isolation quarantined centres, they will benefit a lot because we don't enough food at the moment but the little we have got is enough to push us ahead to another day so that we can also get more from other people who are coming to add on what Pretty B has given. We thank God for blessing Pretty B with good music to prevent Covid-19, the music you are producing is very good and we ask God to bless you more in the music industry that you may even produce more food for the population. Thank very much Pretty B.''
"The reason why I choose children wards in particular because am also woman, I understand the pain these children and their mothers are going through during this trying moment and most of these women are single mothers and they do not have anyone to support them and their children." Pretty B stated this when the website interviewed her through the phone.
