The body of the former Dokolo woman member of parliament, the late Cecilia Ogwal will arrive at Entebbe International Airport this weekend on Sunday 21, government has said.
And on Monday 22, there shall be paying of tribute to the late Cecilia Ogwal, former Woman legislator for Dokolo District. Ms. Ogwal, who passed away on Thursday, will be remembered for her towering character and dedicated service to the nation.
The Speaker informed journalists that Cecilia Ogwal’s body is expected to arrive at Entebbe airport on Sunday at 2:10 pm aboard an Emirates plane. Upon arrival, it will be received by the Speaker and the family of the deceased legislator. The body will then be conveyed to Mulago Hospital and subsequently to the A-Plus Funeral home.
Parliament, as per tradition, will play a central role in coordinating the burial arrangements for the departed legislator. Ms. Among emphasized that the parliamentary commission, guided by the Administration of Parliament Act 2007, is responsible for determining benefits and privileges for Members of Parliament, both deceased and alive.

Sunday, 21st January, 2024:
The body arrives at Entebbe at 2:10 pm, received by the Speaker and the family.
Departure for Mulago Hospital and then to A-Plus Funeral home.
Monday, 22nd January, 2024:
Departure from the A-Plus Funeral home at 8:00 am.
Received at Parliament at 9:00 am for viewing and a Special sitting at 12:00 noon to pay tribute.
Tuesday, 23rd January, 2024:
Departure from Bugolobi residence to All Saints Cathedral, Nakasero, for a funeral service at 9:00 am.
Proceeds to Dokolo Via Soroti for a vigil at Adok Sub county, Dokolo District.
Wednesday, 24th January, 2024:
Departure from Adok for a Joint Council Sitting at Dokolo District Headquarters from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Proceeds to Lira City for a vigil.
Thursday, 25th January, 2024:
Departure from Lira City Residence for a church service at St Augustine Cathedral, Bar Ogole, at 9:00 am.
Leaves for St Paul Church, Alito.
Archdeaconry, Kole District, for a service at 3:00 pm.
Proceeds to her home in Dog Gudu Cell, Alito Town Council, Kole District, for the vigil.
Friday, 26th January, 2024:
Church service at her home in Alito at 10:00 am and viewing the body.
Saturday, 27th January, 2024:
The burial program commences at 9:00 am.
