The Northern Uganda Bodybuilding and fitness Association has disclosed that they have set aside a total of 2million shillings to be shared by winners of Mr. Acholi Bodybuilding competition in all the categories of the game that will be competed for
At least a total of 23 participants have registered to participate in the game which will have muscle display or (bodybuilding), body physique, arm wrestling and bikini.
The MR. Acholi Body building the event to find the strongest man a woman in Acholi is scheduled for the 26 November 2023 at Plan B bar and lounge in Gulu city
Regan Ocaya Gando, the general secretary for NUBBAFA reveals to the reporter during an interview that the winner in the muscle display (bodybuilding) will receive 300,000 shilling, Number 2 will receive 200,000 shillings while number three will be awarded with 100, 000 shilling.
In body physique categories, the winner will receive 200,000, shillings number 2 will receive 100,000 while participant in position 3 will receive 50,000 shillings
Meanwhile in Arm wrestling, the first winner will receive 200,000 shillings followed by 100,000 for number two and 50,000 for participants who will emerge in position three; these prizes are for both male and female participants respectively.
However, in Bikini which Will only be displayed by ladies, the winner will be awarded with 200,000 number 2 will receive 100,000 while number three will receive a handful of 50,000 shillings.
Gando says they are using the body building sport to unite youth for development and to fight the negative perception in the communities who believe that body building is only for people who engage in wrongdoing activities.
The competition is scheduled for Sunday 26th November 2023 at Plan B Bar and lounge Gulu.
