Ceasar Chandiga on Saturday emerged winner of the 2023 Nile Special National Open Pool Championships beating other competitors to drive home a brand new car.
The tournament which saw Ceasar win himself a brand new car and cash prize worth Ugx 5million took place at the Lugogo MTN Arena Kampala.
Ceasar has been winning most pool tournaments in Uganda ever since his returned from Zambia where he was playing for a club known as Sharks on international transfer.
He recently outclassed PUA's seed 1, Mansoor Bwanika in a challenge match that ended 21-9 and also he knocked him twice in the UG weekly tournament.
Ceasar is currently playing for Black Spot/Uper Volta Pool Club, Gulu and the club is currently on number one on the log standing with Mbale in the second position.
This Nile Special funded national open returns after a four-year absence due to COVID-19 pandemic and organization within the main special sponsors.
The tournament is organized by the Pool Association of Uganda (PAU) and is arguably the biggest individual pool event on the African continent.
This year's edition attracted the biggest number of participants in the history of the competition in both men's and ladies' categories.
