Uganda's musician cum politician, Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine was set to have his mega concert in the United Arab Emirates today in Dubai.
"Unfortunately our charity concert in Dubai has been cancelled! The venue owner has been instructed to cancel it. The information available shows Ugandan authorities have been working tooth and nail to ensure it doesn't happen! The first attempt was to deny me entry, and now this. Our hope was that through this concert, we would be able to return several Ugandans and Africans stuck in several countries, regardless of this setback, we shall not stop trying to help our people and raising their plight to the world! - Bobi Wine after he was released from detention.
Its unfortunate that the concert has been canceled and the government of Uganda has denied the move according to Bobi Wine.
The show was intended to help in repatriating stranded Ugandans to help them move back to Uganda.
