The chairman Northern Uganda Promoters Association Badman Solo has fired a warning to the organizers of 'The Road to Eddy Kenzo festival' over failure to include Northern Uganda Artists in their show which is scheduled to happen soon.
Via a detailed Facebook post, Badman Solo displayed anger and amuse ad to why no single artist from the region was included in the performance list yet all the profits yielded are to be taken by the organizers.
He noted quoting "Ladies and Gentlemen, as the Chairman of the Northern Uganda Promoters Association NUPA, & Spokesperson for Uganda Musicians Association Acholi CLUSTER, Am Very Disappointed with the Organisers of the Road to Eddy Kenzo Festival in Gulu City especially for Disrespecting the Northern Uganda Music Industry by Not Recognising Some of the Great Talents we Have in Northern Uganda Currently. We Shall Soon Announce a Boy Cott to the Gulu Show if the Organisers don't PAY & Include atleast 4 or 5 of Our talented Artists eg Laxzy Mover, Chameroon, Polite Mosko, Adong Music, Smokie Allan, Rakas Topa, Pato Loverboy, BeePee, Sean Simple, Eddy Wizzy, BSG Labongo, Tempra Omona, Sherry Princess, Bledy Miles, Mixola etc.".
He concluded ''we have great artists here in Northern Uganda and some should at least benefits from any concert organized in Northern Uganda. Have been trying to reach the organizers in vain. Pliz we give the organizer 24 hours to respond to this or else, we announce and mobilize our fans and supporters to boycott your so called festival. This is Gulu City."
Eddy Kenzo is currently on a nation wide tour where he is on the brick of organizing his maiden concert in Kampala dubbed Eddy Kenzo Festival. We'll keep you posted.
