A 14-year-old boy has met his untimely death after he was allegedly struck by lightning on Tuesday evening at around 5pm.
The deceased, identified as Sunday Okello, a resident of Lanino kan village, odek subcounty in Omoro District was struck by lightning when he went sheltering from rain under a tree during a heavy downpour.
Justin Okeny, the village chairperson said that the vitim got caught in the rain after he went to protect crops against destructive monkeys.
