The fallen JNC Entertainment boss, Doreen Angee has been laid to rest in a day filled with tears.
Doreen's life was claimed on 24th December, 2021 due to a nasty road accident while on her way home to Gulu after being abroad in the Netherlands for ten years.
It should be noted that the deceased who had spent over 10 years without seeing her family in Gulu left the Netherlands for Uganda on 21st December 2021 to surprise her family but her dream to meet with her family was cut short after a car she was traveling in got involved in a nasty road accident and even though she was rushed to Gulu Regional Referral Hospital for medical care, she didn't make it.
Late Doreen Angee was laid to rest on Saturday 8th January,2022 at her parents home in Atiak Pacilo
Doreen's Life History:
Doreen Angee was born on the 27/03/1996 she was the second daughter of the late Joyce Atoo. Her mother died in 2004 when she was only 8 years old.
Doreen started her Nursery in Masindi Army Barracks. She was also a pupil in Labour Line Primary School for a short time. In 2004 she joined Layibi Techo Primary School at the time she was 8 years old until primary seven in 2009. In 2010, the chief magistrate court of Gulu granted her aunt Lucy Acan full guardianship over her and younger sister Jacklyn Akello when you was 13 years old.
In February 2011, they both joined aunt Lucy Acan and her husband Arjan Reijerse in Belgium. In January 2012, the late moved to Netherlands with her aunt, uncle and sister where she continued with her schooling, while in Netherlands Doreen went to high school called Pantarijn in Wageningen. She studies at a HAVO level (O' level) until 2016, and after high she attended The ROC A12 (Institution) and studied to be a nurse. Meanwhile during her studies she was an intern at different home care facilities throughout the years, one of them being the hospital in Ede (Ziekenhuis Geldersevallei) and she graduated in 2021. She also worked for in different home care facilities such as Zinzia and Vilente.
In 2019, Doreen Angee signed a contract with Chanti models and started her modeling career as a model. She took part in multiple photoshoots. In 2020, she took part in a competition and won Miss East Africa organized in Europe. Because she was committed to her job and other responsibilities which is why she decided to step down and be first runner up.
She was very passionate about her work as a CEO at JNC Entertainment. She had two artists under her wing and guided them through the music process. She took pride in the work that she did with them and the music label.
Together with her team she promoted multiple Acholi artists, from different genres such as Ugandan rap and hip hop. She cared deeply about her artists and team. And finally, what started her entertainment career was, her love for the Acholi culture and dance. She prided herself in representing the Acholi culture all over the world.
She had a lot of plans for her home in Uganda which included buying land in Uganda and build a hospital to help the Acholi people in need.
