National Residence Movement's (NRM) Lapyem Thomas Awany has won Gulu University Guild President Eletions 2021-2022.
He's a 3rd year student from school of Law who has trounced NUP, DP and FDC candidates in touch race.
Lapyem garnered 1,201 votes beating three (3) other candidates in the race. His closest rival Ekebu Peter Gordon obtained 649 votes, Maziina Mark Davis got 288 votes while Jumba Henry polled only 240 votes.
Lapyem was declared winner by the Gulu University returning electoral commission officer, Ashaaka Johnson as newly voted Guild President for 2021-2022.
According to the Gulu University reports, Lapyem Thomas Awany becomes the 20th Guild President of Gulu University.
