Police in Lamwo District is holding a man only identified as Sam Lutoo on suspicion of killing his brother in Lamwo District.
Sam Lutoo, a resident of Larom East village, Aceba Sub County in Lamwo District was arrested reportedly attacked 35-year-old Samuel Okot.
According to reports, the pair had gone to the home of one, Okech Sodrick to attend a traditional wedding ceremony. But they later, went to visit Loum who is their elder brother.
The incident happened on Tuesday when the two men had visited their elder brother identified as Ben Loum.
At Loum’s home, they found Loum’s wife identified only as Stella was brewing waragi. Trouble started when Samuel Okot order for a bottle of alcohol but refused to share it with the suspect.
Jimmy Patrick Okema, the Aswa River Region Police Spokesperson said their preliminary investigation reports indicate that Lutoo became angry and boxed Okot, causing his death.
A case of murder has been registered at Lamwo Central Police Station vide CRB Number 145/2021.
