Two St Joseph College Layibi Students Shot Dead In Suspected Robbery, Headteacher Left In Shock

Two senior four (S.4) students of St Joseph College of Layibi in Gulu City have been gun dead in a suspected robbery after they and eight other students attempted to break into Bright Valley Girls SS Bar-dege/Layibi division in Gulu City.

However, it's reported that students numbering about 10, stealthily entered the school at around 9:50 pm and went straight to the girl’s dormitory.

According to the report, one other student sustained bullet wounds and he is admitted at Gulu regional referral hospital while other students were still missing. They were shot by a security guard attached to Expose Security Group.

The two deceased have been identified as Rubangakene Kenneth and Emmanuel Okeny and the injured is identified as Ogen-rwot Jasper.

And the six other students who have been arrested were identified as Okello Brain, Opwonya Arnold, Kakaum Herbert, Ogenrwot Gasper, Ocakacon Gerald and Okello Samuel. They are currently being kept at Gulu central police station.
