The Notorious Aruu County Member of Parliament, Odonga Otto is reported to have escaped from Pader Central Police Station and he is wanted.

Odonga is said to have disappeared from police officers at Rackoko trading centre in Awere Sub county at about 10 pm shortly after his arrest

Odonga Otto was arrested by police in Pader District for campaigning beyond the stimulated hours on Wednesday, 6th January 2021.

According to the Aswa river region police spokesperson Jimmy Okema, Odonga Otto is wanted on charges of disobeying lawful orders and defying curfew as he reportedly campaigned beyond the stipulated time.

Okema says after he was arrested from Awere trading centre on their way to Pader Central Police station, Otto asked officers to be excused to ease himself but he never returned.

Okema however said ''We asked him to move to the station, which he did comply, but on our way he asked to move out of the car for a short call but he slipped away. He left his car behind, we have it at the station.''

Meanwhile, Odonga has not been in good terms with the Police in Pader district. About a week ago, the Police ordered his arrest over allegations of uttering sensitive security information during his campaigns in Pader Town Council.  Through his official Twitter page, the legislator also accused the Deputy Inspector General of Police Maj. Gen. Paul Lokech of hosting religious leaders at his home in Pader District to purportedly cast a spell on him to lose the elections in favour of his rival, Komakech.
