Sensation singer Lalam Irene alias Liama has officially announced that she will run for Lamwo East member of parliament seat comes 2021 general election.
As many people were thinking that singer intentions was to unseat the giant opposition leader and Gulu district woman MP Betty Aol Ocan but she decided to divert her intentions because of her low strength to take over Betty Aol Ocan from power.
According to Liama, different parties have been reaching her ever since she showed interest of joining politics like other musicians in the country with different colours that she should stand under their flags but she is going as an independent candidate for Lamwo East seat.
"Due to the public demand on the ground, my people in Lamwo East, I have come to represent you in the parliament of Uganda come 2021-2026," she posted
"This is the time for Lamwo East to develop and prosper with leader who is ready to represent without any fear," she concluded in her posted.
Her banners are already making rounds on various social media platforms and her fans are not yet believing in ideas of running for Lamwo East member of parliament seat.
