The US-based Ugandan singer, multi-instrumentalist and dancer Godfrey Opio to headline the 38th annual Ugandan North American Association (UNAA) Convention and Trade Expo 2026.
Opio, who is promoting authentic Ugandan music in America, will perform alongside Sam Nalangira, Afro Kinz, among others.
The 38th Annual UNAA Convention & Trade Expo is set to take place September 3–7, 2026, at the Sheraton Denver Downtown in Denver, Colorado.
As the largest gathering of the Ugandan diaspora in North America, this year’s convention is themed “A Celebration of Our Heritage, Culture and Community.”
Opio is known for his authenticity and originality, bringing African music and tradition to life through vibrant tunes on the Kalimba, Lukeme, and Adungu.
