Renowned content creator Otim Jino, also known as Jino De Champion, says he was yet again attacked by an unknown gang who stormed his home on Wednesday, April 16, 2026, at around 2:16 AM with plans to kill him and his family using petrol.
The former Bosmic Otim bodyguard said his life is in danger. He added that although people see him laughing and happy, his happiness upsets others.
Jino recounted that he first heard people talking on the road. Minutes later, he heard footsteps in his compound. His dog then started barking, signaling danger. When he woke up to check, he was shocked to find the house filled with smoke and a fire burning at the doorway.
He said he woke up and began putting out the fire. Petrol had been poured at his doorway. As he acted, he heard the attackers running away.
A heartbroken Jino said he had chosen to live peacefully, but someone is hunting him. “For three days now, whenever I'm returning from work, I notice people following me. You fail to understand what somebody wants with your life,” he said.
He cautioned those who want him dead, telling them to cut his body into pieces and eat his flesh after killing him. He confirmed he has reported the case to police and investigations are ongoing, but he wanted to notify the public.
According to Jino, this is the second attempt on his life. In the first incident, he was attacked and stabbed but survived. He also blamed police for not acting on his first attempted murder last year after the primary elections, stating that if he decides to take other measures, they should not regret.
Jino believes that those after his life are those people who are threatening him on social media.
