Sylvia Owori Damalie, Director of Operation Wealth Creation, on Friday, March 13, 2026 visited Tegot Farmstead in Gulu City, inspecting coffee farming progress in Northern Uganda.
She was joined by teams from the Ministry of Agriculture, NaCORI Uganda, and Uganda Coffee Development Authority.
The visit aimed to verify coffee nursery beds and seedling suppliers ahead of the next planting season, as part of efforts to boost coffee production.
"These field visits help profile progress and ensure government interventions translate into productive farms," Owori said.
The trip also highlighted the government's push to achieve President Museveni's Coffee Roadmap goal of reaching 20 million bags by 2030.
The Mao family, owners of Tegot Farmstead, showcased their coffee farm's progress, demonstrating the potential for growth in the region.
