Gospel singer Odong Romeo is fed up with Acholi leaders in the ruling party (NRM), saying they are abandoning their people from the government opportunities.

"I'm not happy with our leaders from Northern who are in the ruling party," he said, citing a recent function in Kisozi Ranch where Acholi sub-region was notably absent.

The event, "Jazz With Jaja the Ranch Edition," was organized by President Museveni and his daughter Natasha to engage with youths, creatives, journalists and influencers.

Odong Romeo says Acholi leaders failed to connect their people, missing a chance to discuss regional problems and opportunities.

He urges Acholi leaders to "open their eyes" and connect people to opportunities, saying, "Your relationship with your masses is not good."

He advises Ugandans to focus on farming, using resources like land to create wealth, as leaders won't solve everyone's problems.

Odong Romeo is known for his powerful song 'Yoo Leng', an anthem played at marriages, campaigns, and events for years. It's received international recognition, taking him to national and international stages.
