The Ker Kwaro Acholi cultural institution will commemorate the 60th birthday of the Acholi Paramount Chief with a celebration at Kaunda Grounds in Gulu City on the 24th of this month.
Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Kenneth Oketta, stated that the charity event will focus on promoting girl child education in the Acholi Sub Region.
Oketta further disclosed that a fundraising dinner will be held at Acholi Inn Hotel, with proceeds going towards constructing dormitories for girls at Kitgum High School and Padibe Girls Secondary School, as well as building changing rooms for girls at Paibona Primary School in Gulu district.
He noted that this special celebration honors the achievements of His Royal Highness Rwot David Onen Acana II in peace building, conflict resolution, cultural development, and education.
Oketta urged the public to contribute generously to support the noble cause aimed at enhancing girls' education in the Acholi sub-region.
