Gulu Cheif Magistrate's court has further remanded Dr. Lina Zedriga, NUP's deputy president for Northern Uganda to prison until February 24, 2026, for allegedly inciting violence during the recent general election.

Dr Lina appeared today, Tuesday before Chief Magistrate Augustine Alule Koma who noted that the state required more time to review the bail application documents issued by authorities from various parts of the country.

The allegations claim she incited violence against NRM supporters in Gulu, Omoro, and Nwoya districts in December 2025.

Zedriga was initially arraigned and remanded on February 6, 2026, without her lawyers' knowledge.

This followed her disappearance after she was allegedly abducted from her home in Kyetume B, Gayaza, Wakiso district by security personnel on January 16, 2026.
