North Kyoga Regional Police spokesperson Jimmy Patrick Okema has shed light on the raid at Tembo Trek Courts Hotel in Lira, where NUP presidential candidate Bobi Wine was sleeping.
According to Okema, the operation targeted two NUP leaders; Geoffrey Onzima, alias Twaha and one unidentified colleague wanted for alleged robbery and malicious damage to a police vehicle.
During the raid, security forces arrested 10 individuals (7 males and 3 females) who are currently detained at Lira Police Station, assisting with investigations.
Bobi Wine, however, disputes the claims, accusing the regime of being "criminal at every election cycle" and attempting to isolate him and disarm his security team.
