Kitgum District Institutions and vulnerable communities have received over 500 iron sheets from the office of the Prime Minister (OPM) Uganda, on Monday, February 17, 2025.
The action is aimed at strengthening the region's resilience and fostering sustainable development.
"Through the Office of the Prime Minister, I have handed over 595 iron sheets to support four institutions and vulnerable communities in Kitgum District. The beneficiaries/institutions include St. Marys CC Matidi (115 iron sheets), Cam Cam Chapel (70 iron sheets), Ocekutte COU (120 iron sheets), Kitgum Womens Group (290 iron sheets).'' she posted to her X.
The iron sheets were donated to churches, schools, health facilities and organized groups in Kitgum.
These iron sheets were handed over by the State Minister for Disaster Preparedness and Refugees, Hon. Dr. Lillian Aber, also Woman MP for Kitgum District.
The delivery of the iron sheets is part of ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and provide vital support to local communities in need.
The iron sheets will be used to support construction and repair projects, directly benefiting local institutions and enhancing living conditions for the vulnerable populations in Kitgum.
