Coach Ibrahim Omony Adiga's death has left a very big gap in Gulu boxing club and Uganda's boxing fraternity.
His death came at the time when the club and players needed him most.
Coach Adiga passed on Sunday March 24th 2024 at 6.am from Atiak Health Center where he was rushed for medication after developing stomach complications.
The deceased being a Muslim, he was immediately laid today at his ancestral home in Atiak, Amuru district.
"Adiga got stomach complications at around midnight, rushed to hospital and lost his fight for life this morning at 6am, burial is today at Atiak being a Muslim, but as a boxing family I pray we stand with the family and club.' - Gulu boxing club head coach Mulindra Dennis announced.
