In a significant victory, Ugandan musician Bwoy King emerged triumphant in the copyright infringement case against his ex-girlfriend Mimi.

It should be noted that at the start of this year Mimi reported Bwoy King to YouTube over copyrighting her song dubbed Waca. Bwoy King and Liama collaborated on Tita which has the same verse and chorus.

After 15 days of deliberation, YouTube found that Bwoy King had not infringed the copyright of Mimi song Waca.

YouTube however had to give Bwoy King full ownership of the song after he provided full and strong evidence about the song.

While speaking to Bwoy King on how he claimed back his song, he told us he provided enough evidence of which his ex who claimed that the singer infringed her song didn't provide enough evidence so YouTube had to bounce back his song.

"Mimi reported the video to YouTube and they provided their evidence to Google. I gave my evidence too. So YouTube viewed the post and they found that my evidence is legit and I own the full copyright of the song now and they sent me back the song with an apology letter." He stated when asked how he claimed back his song.
