Ariana Lamara, a senior two student of St Mary's Kitende was on Friday night crowned Miss Face of Gulu City at Bomah Hotel Gulu.
The 14 year old student from Gulu City West beat 9 contenders in a highly competitive race for the responsibility of being the face of Gulu city.
Ariana who became the judges favorite after passing stages, one of which included the talent test was also crowned miss creativity, named Shea Butter Uganda brand ambassador and she was automatically named Role Model Foundation brand ambassador as well.
She will also be entitled to other benefits as a brand ambassador for Gulu City and work hand in hand with stakeholders within the city in making Gulu a Better City, conducting environmental conservation awareness campaigns and promoting youth empowerment initiatives in the city and the region at large.
Special Awards
The first runner up was 17 year old Lamara Leanard Keren a senior four vacist from St Marys Kitende, while 22 year old Nassa Michelle Mich, a third year Gulu University student pursing a Bachelor’s Degree in Science of food bioscience and Agribusiness at Gulu University was second runner up respectively.
Meanwhile Alum Eunice Amelia made it as Miss Popularity, while Adongpiny Vanessa emerged Miss Talent, Alonyo Dorcus was named miss personality, and Lamunu Vicky Kilara was named Miss Rissing Woman.
