Tributes are pouring in for fallen well-known businessman Olanya Jacob commonly known as Forget which happened untimely on Monday at his home.
His death has hit the entire Acholi community because he was very unique, incredible and a community comforter during any funeral he attended. His presence brought so much joy to the Gulu people in both time of sorrow and happiness.
Besides hurting people's ribs with laughter at any funeral, he would confidently say he knew the deceased whether a politician or a boda boda rider. He would always light up burials with those heartwarming secret jokes and allegations about the innocent deceased, at a time when people are mourning.
The deceased has been suffering from a mental condition but he truly pioneered acceptance of the mental illness in our community by reminding us never to forget that even the mentally unwell are still family.
His contribution to relieving Gulu city residents with laughters at every occasion he attended has been tremendous and will remain timeless.
