Uganda's top ranked rapper, Judas Rapknowledge has on Tuesday paid a visit to honor the late hip hop giant by paying respect to him on his birthday at his resting place in Laroo, Gulu East Division.
Judas Rapknowledge took to Facebook after the visit; ''Death may have taken you away from us, but it could never take away ur memories. Since u left .. I promised to make you proud wherever you are...and take hip hop far. Today was the day you were born. Sleep well godfather of rap in Northern Uganda... Lumix Da Don. Salute.''
Lumix Da Don real name Lumumba Patrick was born on February 21, 1978. He was a Ugandan rapper, record producer and founder and CEO of Valley Curve Recordz.
Lumix Da Don died on July 13/2015, from Naguru Hospital in Kampala after battling for his life for two weeks. He died due to liver failure.
His death shocked the whole nation because he was such a great inspirational to other musicians within and outside the country.
He was one of founding fathers of hip hop in Uganda at large. This involved his going out and rapping in different night spots in Kampala in the company of others emcees including; Lyrical G, Mc Yalla, Saba Saba and many others.
He won rap battle in Uganda that were organized at club Silk, making him the three time battle winner for three consecutive years (1998, 1999 and 2000).
