Fans of prominent Ugandan singer Eric Opoka alias Eezzy have been wondering why the singer records more songs in his mother language other than others languages that he can also sing on fluently.
Breaking through as a countrywide known artist in Uganda especially in the central region is not such an easy thing as musicians who've tried can relate.
Eezzy through his Tumbiza hit song did it. Via his response to a fan who asked him why he does not like singing in Luganda or English, Eezzy said he sings in Acholi because he wants to sing for his people and impress them because they matter alot in his musical career and whoever likes his music will sing and dance to it no matter the language used in its lyrics.
Eezzy further stated that language doesn't matter in his music. What matters is pride of his mother language.
