The Uganda People's Defense Forces (UPDF) 4th Division Commander, Brig Bonny Bamwiseki has advised musician cum politician Bosmic Otim to return home and reunite with his family and relatives.
He also urged the public to tell the legendary musician to come back home and they look for a way of sorting out issues and no one wants to harm him.
"Tell that brother of mine who is a musician and had run to South Sudan to come back. Tell him to come back, call him say brother come back this is our home. No one will harass him. You take that information to him. Even the Division Commander says no one will harassh him and when he was talking on media. Why didn't he come to me, I would say escort, escort him and see who is harassing him but seem they were people lying to him and he decided to go. Because if he says he want to fight, can you fight this government and manage it no. You will come to fight them and die for nothing. Why don't you come and then we sit together as brothers sort out some issues. We see how to sort them out and live together and join your family, relatives and you work. That's what we are trying secitize." Stated while addressing media on security matter in Gulu City.
He added ''you encourage our brother the musician. Tell him to come back home that they are ready to welcome you and they are ready to eat with you, stay with you. We love him so much. We don't want those case of fighting and using gun is not the solution.'
It should be remembered that in May 2022, Bosmic Otim fled the country out of fear for his life, after refusing to support the ruling government (NRM).
