Northern Uganda Music Sell Out Only By Luck - Ojur Kwon Speaks Out

Celebrated comedian Ojur Kwon has come out to challenge Northern Uganda deejays and radio stations for not playing local artists contents.

Ojur Kwon says 98% of music played in Northern Uganda is not from Northern artists/musicians.

"Northern Uganda music sell out only by luck. 98% of music played around Northern Uganda is not from Northern artists/musicians. The deejays we have only play a Northern music when the owner of the song is around and 10 mins later the dj will be looking for the musician to give him beer 🍺 as if the central, Tanzania, West Africa and the artists from other countries pays them." - Ojur says

According to him, the deejays within only play the local music  when the owner of the song is only around and 10 minutes later you will see them looking for the artist for a bottle of beers.

He however questioned these deejays whether musicians from Central, Tanzania, West Africa and other countries pays them to play their music.

The comedian also added that Northern Uganda radio station's play list is full of outside music and music from the region only plays once it's requested on request time.

"Radio Station's play list is full of outside music, music from North only plays from requested on request time.'' - He said

Ojur also said Northern music plays 100% when the artist is dead.

"All in all, they only play 100% of Northern music when the musician is dead." - He concluded
