Two of the Uganda People's Defense Forces soldiers (UPDF) have been shot dead on Wednesday 7, 2022 after suspected Karamojong cattle rustlers raid Agago District.
The attack took place in Paimol, Lai Muto town council in the wee hours of Wednesday where the armed rustlers made off with several hands of cattle.
The deceased were identified as Patrick Odong and Bashir both are attached to the 5th Division in Acholi Pii in Pader District.
Meanwhile, the UPDF 5th Division spokesperson, Amos Nsamba said several other soldiers were seriously wounded in the attacks.
He also added that the army is still pursuing the raiders who fled with stolen cattle.
