At least 25 people were confirmed dead after the boat they were in capsized in Lake Victoria on Thursday morning.
The accident reportedly occured Thursday morning when the fully loaded boat was heading to Kisaba from Kasenyi landing site capsizes.
According to reports, the boat was fully overloaded with many passengers and other luggage like timbers, bags of cement, fish, foodstuffs and pieces of iron sheets beyond its recommendation capacity, which might have caused the accident.
Other sources has it that the boat's engine abruptly went off forcing it to capsize with it's crew.
The development comes just a few hours after another 26 people perished yesterday in several road accidents across the country.
